Nate got into recording in high school the way most people do: with a couple of cheap mics and a few song ideas. This led to a minor obsession with collecting and restoring vintage instruments and a few records released under the moniker "Solomon's Hollow." After graduating from BSU in 2008 with a B.A. in Philosophy, Nate moved to Portland, OR to pursue his music. It was there that he discovered his love of recording wasn't limited to producing his own work; the microphones and gear became interesting in their own right.
The obsession became a business in 2014, back in Boise, ID. Since then, Nate has worked with local notables Jeff Crosby, Thomas Paul, Jake Saunders and Messimer. When not making music, Nate can be found making cocktails at the Modern Bar & Hotel or cooking and traveling with his wife Kate (www.thedapperjackalope.com) and making dumb jokes.
